Our Board
Organisational structure
The Management Board typically meets six times a year and is responsible for setting the strategic direction and policies of the organization, as well as monitoring their effectiveness.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) serves as Secretary to the Board. The Annual General Meeting is usually held in July each year, following the approval of the draft accounts by the Management Board.
The Senior Management Team comprises the CEO, Commercial Director, People Director, and two Operations Directors. The CEO is accountable for the overall performance of the organisation, ensuring it meets its key objectives and remains viable. The Operations Directors, supported by a team of five Operations Managers, ensure operational effectiveness across all services.
Staff are organized into service teams within each operational area; supported living, community activities, enterprises, residential care, and children’s services-with a clear system of supervision to ensure accountability.
Operations are further supported by dedicated finance/administration and Human Resources teams, led by the Commercial Director and People Director. Our head office in Workington also houses our staff training facilities. Our internal quality processes, managed by the Operations Managers, aim to enhance operational and practice standards and ensure consistency across all services. The resulting audit reports are shared with the Care Quality Commission and the Management Board.
